What is an International Preschool?

AIPJapan

An international preschool uses English as the primary communication language between English teachers and students. Most often, an English speaker from a foreign country is the homeroom teacher.

The school offers instruction for a minimum of four hours a day, Monday through Friday.

Students between the ages of three-months to six-years-old are able to attend.

The school is most often classified as an unlicensed childcare facility, ninkagai-hoikuen.

Japanese certified nursery school teachers are present at the school and in sufficient numbers to meet government regulations.
